Career and Personal Development (Session 1) - First 40 hour Week

With any big project, it's critical to have a solid foundation to build on lest you end up with a figurative house of cards liable to come crashing down at any time. This week I will be a little less focused on the actual work itself and more on more foundational things such as:

- Establishing personal and professional rapports with both my coworkers and supervisors. Open and honest communication and mutual trust will alleviate and avoid many potential obstacles before they can happen.
- Understanding the layout of preexisting networks and researching others to get ideas and inspiration regarding blog organization and structure
- Immersing myself in the blogosphere to get a better impression of this new online realm I have little prior experience with, and to gather ideas and the beginning of a strategy for searching for relevant information to be used in the networks we construct
- Collaborating with coworkers to develop a general outline or overview of our work for the next couple weeks, ensuring that the tasks we do have a purpose as opposed to being just busywork
